I would rather have Culpepper two to one over Vick.

Manning's contract didn't stop Indianapolis from signing Harrison or Stokley now did it. The teams it really screws is San Diego (Brees). If they Franchise him, which I would imagine they would, and Rivers doesn't come on like they think, then they could be looking at some really big numbers for Brees.

I wouldn't want to be a GM of a team that has a QB coming up in 2005/2006, Patriots for one! The QB's are all going to want either Culpepper/Manning or now Vick money. Even with the Cap going up, if you have more than 4 FA, you are going to be dealing with some BIG contracts. Peyton's contract really hits in the last 2-3 years.

It will be interesting to see how Vick's contract is structured. As injury prone as he is, I would imagine that it's fairly constant

This reminds me of when Shinn payed Larry Johnson all that money. Then every player and their agent came through the flood gates with great expectations. Just wait as soon as Vick has a bad year.... Oh the humanity!!

Wonder if we ought to look at extending Peppers soon. It's only going to get more expensive as time goes on.
