We dont deserve to win or go to the playoffs

The playcalling wasn't bad when we were moving the ball and scoring but once we got the lead everything just went back to first quarter mode. I still say biggest reason we lost is because the defense folded at the end of the 4th quarter. Atlanta and Vick still owns us.

 

the only thing more horrible than this game would be for us to go to the playoffs and beat the Eagles and clear the way to the SB for Atlanta.

You really think HENNING has the say as to whether we kill the clock and goto OT? You're out of your fucking mind. You're DEFLECTING from your own knee jerk reaction at blaming Henning. NO FUCKING WAY Henning takes it on himself to do that. NO FUCKING WAY.

I've not blamed the defense, either. I've not been critical of special teams, even though they were a huge crutch. The difference is that I haven't spoken much of Fox, the D, the ST, where you've put the game calling on everyone but Henning.

 

Weren't we in a man defense on the 4th down play? If so, that makes no sense. I say play a zone and drop 8 into the endzone. Keep everything in front of you. Once Vick crosses the LOS, come up and keep him from reaching the endzone. The thing about it is, we had the benefit of a short field. It's not like trying to stop him from picking up a normal 4th down. We only had a total of 22 yards (including the endzone). There's no excuse for letting them score there.

 

I'm blaming the plays. Kiss my ass for telling me what I'm thinking - the play calling was poor and it's "classic" Dan Henning. We run the same fucking plays all over the season and here in a special situation you want to say it's all Fox. Yeah, "Fox was calling all the plays in overtime, I'm sure of it, even though I have no fucking idea", right?

 

We HAD to kill the clock after the blown sweep after the Proehl first down. We moved to the 35 or 40 yard line on the Proehl catch, then we tried the sweep and had a penalty. At that point, the smartest thing to do was kill the clock, the dumbest thing was calling the sweep to begin with.

No, it's okay. Fox called it. That absolves it. He wanted us to call a play we'd not done anything with all game, it's FoxBall. That's why he's the offensive coordinator.

 

No - Just 2 plays. 2nd and long at the end of regulation, and third and long at the end of regulation. Those are the only 2 things I put on Fox anywhere on this thread.

IMO, we blew it on 4th and goal. We could've kneeled. I was hoping for Jake to get it done at the end, but when it was 2nd and 21 at the 21, I knew we were gonna run. I knew it was Fox when we let the play clock run down after 2nd down.
