I'm not much into the new stuff, I grew up on Maiden, Priest, Scorpions, etc, and moved to NIN, Tool, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, etc. I like a lot of different things, but I don't care for radio or MTV, so it's hard to find anything new that's not saturated with commercialism. I like Lacuna Coil, but that's not exactly new. I can listen to anything from Tori Amos to Black Sabbath to early Maiden to Skinny Puppy to Aphex Twin or Coil without missing a beat. You might even see a Bach or Mozart CD in my changer on some days, but it's gotta be mostly string orchastrations. Double violin concertos just sound amazing and certain songs give me chills.

Yea, found them recently from the song 'Nobody' getting played on 93.3

I dont really like the rest of the album though. That's the only song that keeps my attention.

Every band you listed either sucks or broke up.

Slayer still rocks. I'm struggling to find new music. Every band sounds the same, or is straight up Cradle of Filth bad.

Yup...which is why I mostly rock the older stuff.

Cradle of Filth is fucking horrible.

Hey Rez....you mentioned something about strings...

If you like older Metallica, check out a quartet called Apocalyptica. They are a cello quartet that play all of the old metallica shit on the strings. It's pretty interesting actually.

I have most of them if you have trouble "locating" them...

The new album is pretty solid. Still, they're no Dimmu Borgir...
