Actually, if you read my post, I have a hard-on for what a good DC could do, ala Greg Williamson. I know I've said it before, but Washington plays twice as good on defense with half the talent. That is ALL his doing, IMO.I also think we tended to blow games late with Del Rio here, but the thing I noticed is we played with heart, unlike now. I don't know who would be a good candidate to take over if we gave Trgo the shoe, but I'm not opposed to finding out, if this shit keeps up.

weren't we in the top 5 defensively when he was here and last year well into the bottom half? i don't fault all that fall on Trog but, and i know i can support this statistically, we were a better D 2002 than we were early last year or yesterday.

Maybe if this team was any good and could win it by themselves we wouldn't bitch so much. Its not our fault we feel jilted because your team needed help to win.

I'll take this one. The Saints had a chance to go up by 14 early in the 3rd quarter when Brooks "fumbled" the ball. They had the ball first and goal and moved it to the 1 yard line. At best for Panther fans it was an unforced error. At worst it was a bad call by the refs (ball actually travelled 5 yards forward). Seconds later, the Saints intercepted yet another Delhomme pass. Again, the Saints moved the ball inside the 10, and had a 3rd and 2 from the 6 yard line. Easily, the Saints could have had a 21 point lead. That my friends is a blowout.

The point is the Saints earned this game. You don't have to be dominant to win. I wouldn't say the Saints were dominant but I'd definitely say that, watching the game, I was very comfortable that the Saints were going to win. The Saints never trailed.

As for the refs, Howard and especially Grant were being held a lot of the game. The holding play that erased the great catch by Smith was a good one...shown to be on replay. Delhomme would have been sacked if not for the holding. Both plays at the end of the first half were good calls and again were shown to be good calls by replay. Maybe some of you guys were at the game and couldn't tell. The personal foul by your safety was a cheap shot and a good call according to the rules. The NFL has a rule about a defenseless reciever. The guy looked to throw his forearm into his head. Personally, I thought he deserved to be ejected for that play.

FYI, this post is linked to the Saints message board. The people of New Orleans has seen how much class your region has. We've actually had many others throughout the county who have come to visit our board who have commented on a couple of threads on this board. Personally, I hope the word spreads about you guys.

Get the fuck over it. This isn't an official Panthers message board. I don't particularly care for a lot of the stuff being posted in here either, but don't get all high and mighty about it. It's a private board; you can't shut it down for content, so don't waste your time.

yeah I was confident of that too, but for whole other reasons.

BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT BULLSHIT! There's replay evidence that PROVES you wrong on this one. He hit him with his shoulder pad. That is NOT an illegal move in the NFL. People have even cited the ruling that the officials called, and it under NO circumstances met that criteria. Please feel free to show me the ruling that says what you claim, because you have NOTHING here.

I've been to Saints report in the past I think most of the people there are classy, but in this case you're just WRONG. I guess if my team was inferior I'd understand better why a game was handed to me in a time of crisis, but its still cheap and I wouldn't value it as a win. Winning under such circumstances would make my team look even more pathetic in the end. Just the though that my team sucks so damned bad that it'd need help to win would make me not want to watch. You claim that as you victory if you want it, but its an empty victory.

Not to say this is incorrect because I think you make a good point but did you see what the Jax D did with the game on the line yesterday? Basically what our "greatest D line, superb secondary" couldnt.

Dude, this is why it's obvious that you hate Trgovac (and why nobody likes talking to you at all). You just plain don't read posts that say something you don't want to read. We've already had this discussion at least twice, so for me to repeat myself to you for the third time is completely ridiculous.

    2002 statistics = 2003 statistics

The statistical differences between JDR's only year and Trgovac's first year are absolutely minute. The reason our overall rankings fell is because other defenses got better, not because ours were worse. Our yards allowed, points allowed, etc were almost exactly identical.

And as for 2004, how many fucking times do you need it repeated that we were plagued by injuries before you will actually realize it? This is why people are under the impression (or at least I am) that you have learning difficulties. When you don't demonstrate the ability to understand points that are made repeatedly, or the ability to comprehend a post made shortly before your own, that makes you look mentally challenged. And I'm being completely serious, I honestly thought you had learning disabilities when I first read some of your posts.

    For your edification:
JDR is not a good defensive mind and was not better than Trgovac = opinion
Our defense in 2003 was almost identical statistically to our 2002 defense = fact
