The Chargers are probably going to deal him and he will be able to play starting week 5. I wonder that it would take to land him? No way we do it but he would sure be an upgrade.

I've read that they want something equal in compensation to Brandon Marshall, but a straight first would probably do it.

Don't laugh, but I think Charly Martin, had he not been injured, might have been an improvement SUnday. But before we scream for WRs, we should be yelling for a RG. He was awful.

Let me be the third to say, Gettis and Edwards would get us better results that Lafell and Jarrett. I think Gettis might be the man by the end of the season.

However, I have lost confidence in our ability to adjust on offense because our coordinator is semi mentally retreaded, our special teams coach is an intern, our QB coach is the Medusa of the NFL, and our head coach is loyal to the assistants.

One other observation: We are so fast at nearly every position now, but our WRs are some of the slowest in the league. Hardy can outrun Jarrett (prolly). We have a couple 4.4 guys sitting inactive. Just sayin.

You think they can get a first for him considering he is not signed and probably will not play for them under any circumstances. Whoever acquires him will have to pay him.

I wonder if we could package Jarrett or Lafell or both along with some picks to get him?

Btw, USA Today has an article rating the WR's by team, we were #22. I laffed, thinking we would have been near last, or just last. Apparently we made it that high solely on Smitty.

Those 4.4 guys might not be able to block and we're a running team.

    (supposedly)

It's not like WRs of his quality come around everyday, he's easily top 20 at his position. It's the old risk- a draft pick is cheaper but also more likely to suck dick.

They already have big slow receivers they need someone to go deep, so no.

I would love to have him but I doubt we make a move. I wonder who will pull the trigger on him though. You have to figure someone will do it. Redskins maybe?

If the Panthers trade away their first round pick again I will scream.
