When a right handed QB throws a TD left handed, I think it should count for 8 points. Same for a left handed QB throwing right. I just think it would add an interesting dynamic to the game, while we're making a total mockery of things.

Shovel passes would become more popular.

Carroll and Harbaugh would damage ligaments in Kaep and Wison's arms practicing to maximize this new advantage.

Belichick will use it to beat a crappy team and the media will love it.

Mike Smith tries to use it and fails.

It would have to be overhand. I thought about the shovel pass loophole, but it does have to be thrown overhand.

I might want to up the ante a bit and apply it to two point tries. A two point conversion becomes a four point conversion, if converted left handed, overhand. Think of the deficits that teams could erase. This would be great for ratings.

There actually was a push for that in baseball for a while because of big platoon splits between LHP and RHP along with the rule that a new pitcher has to face a batter (which means you can't just bring in another pitcher if the hitting team changes the batter from RH to LH). I forget if it was in the minors or college, but I remember one incident where an ambidextrous pitcher faced a switch hitter and they kept changing back and forth to everyone's annoyance.

This non sequitur was brought to you by Wendy's. Try the new pretzel burger today.
