as others have noted Wade got some serious help from the refs. Nevermind he had Shaq and that he shot 97 ft's in a 7 game series. The guy is good player but receives far too much hype.

"But the thing that aggavated me the most about this series was the fact that Wade shot 97 free throws in those 7 games. 97!!! You have got to be kidding me. I had never seen so many ticky tack fouls called in favor of one player since His Airness. Every time Wade touched the ball it seemed there was a foul called. Don't believe me? Truth is in the numbers. Game 3: Wade shoots 18 free throws, Mavs make 18-26, Heat win. Game 5: Wade shoots 25 free throws (Team 49), Mavs shoot 25, Heat win. Game 6: Wade shoots 21 free throws, Mavs shoot 23, Heat win the series. Now, you can not honestly tell me that the Mavs were fouling at nearly DOUBLE the rate that Miami was. I simply don't believe it. I mean look at Game 5, 49-25 in free throws attempted!?"http://www.fannation.com/blogs/post/8949

Stars get calls? OMG! Call the national guard. He made the plays. If Dirk didn't freeze up like a daiquiri in game 3, it wouldn't have mattered.

I'll take 29, 5 and 5 from my 2 guard. He's rated just about right.

Meh, he still gets a ton of calls. It's kinda bullshit, especially when you consider the Donaghy factor in that year's Finals.

It was funny watching him flop against the Hawks trying to get calls. He's a whiner. Of course I'd love to have him on the Bobcats.

Most impressive D-Wade stat to me is that he broke an old David Thompson record, who was the last guy under 6'4 to block 100 shots in a season.

I bet Michael Jordan was somewhere laughing when he saw that series. Your right stars get calls,I know this, but those were the most extreme bullshit calls I've ever seen in a series. great player but overhyped. he does make some good commercials though.

Jordan at least earned his calls, the way most superstars do. Wade seemed to get his calls just so Shaq could win another ring.

Do what? Wade was generally considered to be #3 in the MVP race this year, and led an extremely overachieving Miami team to the playoffs.

His Title and Finals MVP are looking sketchier all the time.

Can't just take quotes out of context, I've been pretty effusive with my praise of D-Wade in this topic. It's just too bad he kinda plays like a bitch, he's talented enough to get by without it. And his title is tainted with the referee scandal.
