    We probably should define the term. You're using it to mean a guy the team intends to be a starter for 5+ years, whereas I take "franchise quarterback" to mean an elite level player, kind of like "#1 starter" in baseball.

    he's definitely Top Six. so I'm thinking elite, like the first singles player on a Davis Cup team, or the guy that slides the disc down the ice in curling. that level of elitehood.
