my guess is that in those mocks that Clayton would also be available. i'd would much prefer much him to picking Brown with the first pick (which of course solidifies that we will pick Brown ... so i do strongly disagree on this point with Sly as i can in fact prove statistically over a great number of years that i can influence the decision making by getting my heart set against a player and thus virtually ensure that the FO will pick that player). i think i'd too prefer picking Bass to Brown, though i think i would hate that pick too at 14. Also, Thomas Davis would be there and he mite make a lot of sense.

if Miller is at 14, the Steelers will probably figure he'll fall at least 5-10 spots (and probably closer to the mid to late 20 range just due to the teams between us and 26 have much greater needs and draftees that would make much more sense) if we don't pick him (and i think they would take that gamble considering our use of a TE) so I doubt they be rushing to trade with us when they can probably trade much further down and still get him ... if there truly is a love there ... and unless Miller can erase injury concern and blow folks away with a workout before the draft.

    >> Moorehead is just a situational guy

curious about what situations he does and does not fit.

Clayton should, but there's less need theoretically. We need a lineman more than a WR, even though Clayton's probably a better player.

Right now, he's not good against the run, and we need to improve overall against the run. We were average across the whole year, and horribly bad against good backs. Moorehead specifically isn't "terrible" against the run, but gets blocked out too much, and is light...he can fill the Buckner role in a year.

odd. as i thought he was better against the run than the pass. or are you suggesting he sucks at both? i'm not trying to be a smartass. genuinely (or however you spell that word ... normally not needed in my conversations since it is outa character for me) curious.

    >> We need a lineman more than a WR

don't agree but am open to argument ... in december

I would like to get two O'linemen and a WR with our 1st three picks. Let availability determine the order.

The depth is solid from round 1-6 for that big WR we need, though I'd agree with 2 Ol and WR on day 1.

The way I see it now (get ready to gag mag's)

It's Baas in round, a WR in two, and an OT in three. (problem is though their are no OT past the first 3 that don't have problems until you get down to about Parquet, and then their all guy's with talent who need a fire lit under them.

or we could go Brown in one, WR in two, and Brown in three. that might make more sense.

He was WAY WAY beter pass rusher than he was a run stopper... I'm not sure what you saw.

He gets pushed around. He can make some plays getting off the ball fast, but doesn't do it every down - nor can most really. He's allright as a passrusher, especially for this point in his development.

in december...there something else there you missed? I agree we could use more talent at WR.
