    I haven't tried Yahoo's toolbar.

Another good free spyware tool is Spybot. I have also used a tool called Spysweeper - but I don't remember if it was a freeware or a pirated version ;)

There are two versions of Spysweeper, both sorta do the same thing, but the free version you have to manually update.

I have tried a good many of them. I think I merely make matters worse. CP doesn't always remove the stuff-even when I go into the reg it doesn't either, only temporarily. So far no problems, until the kiddies get on:) Thank you for the advice..

Yeah I'm starting to think so. But then I heard the MS'SP's were spy detectors-to find out who's legit and who's copy of XP isn't...The SP when I D/L them had bugs in them. I don't DL them anymore. I will try the MS Spyware, thanks:)

Is Spybot the one that tells you where the virus's are? I think I have used that one. Because of my lack of HD space, I'm weird about DL things..I know, I know..lol....I'll try it again though-anything to rid of those annoying pop-ups and trojans..Thanks A_B;)

I am weird about downloading things too. So weird, in fact, that I have been replacing my 80 GB drives with 250 GB drives ;)

You should download SP2. I proimise you its safe, and it helps a TON with spyware and viruses.
