Maybe it's not such a good thing to generate an opinion of a player based on what everyone else says.

    Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff:

The value charts and all that shit has always bothered me. We all blasted Buffalo for taking Whitner so high, but they ended up getting a pretty good player.

There's no one thing or one way that you can throw a blanket over 200 players and it make perfect sense for all involved.

It's kinda like any new coach. If you read into what they're stating philosophically - take, for instance, a new coach that installs a new offense or defense. They always state why they're going to run their idealistic WCO, 3-4, quadruple wing, whatever, why they're going to decide to run, stop the run, pass, stop the pass, or whatever one thing they're deciding to do, and it's always going to sound good.

The idea of passing on a guy in the 4th because he doesn't fit the 4-3 is stupid if that player can rush the passer or can fit situationally. If that player doesn't work out, he certainly didn't fit so it was a wasted pick. It works both ways so speaking in generalities really just isn't that useful in my opinion.

    The patriot mentality -

Don't pay for loyalty, old players should play for peanuts or be let go.

Always get two first round draft picks, there is a sucker born every season.

Win if you can, lose if you must but always Cheat!
