Just curious, but what else could he have done to merit consideration to the Pro Bowl? He's been a beast in spite of being a rookie. I've re-watched a couple of games keying on nothing but Keuch during defensive series. Saw him bite on play action a time or two and get burned in pass coverage, but those were not the norm. He's really got a nose for the ball, which affirms his league leading tackling stats.

Collin....downfield tackle variety? Explain, me boy...is this your personal observation or based on a stat? Most of the tackles I observed were when he was attacking the line.

Skeet is a slang term for ejaculation.
In the loosest definition of this word, skeet skeet refers to semen or ejaculation. As a verb, skeet sometimes refers to the act of a man "pulling out" and ejaculating on a woman. Skeet skeet is used to add emphasis to the term. Doubletongued.com confirms this usage as "Also used as a reduplicated interjection: skeet skeet." The term skeet is popular in hip-hop culture right now and can frequently be heard in musical lyrics. Skeeting is also a form of birth control when condoms or other kinds of contraceptives are not used.

Everyone has their opinions but I don't think he's quite there yet. For starters he still looks quite lost in coverage which is something I expected him to excel at bu thus far he has not done well. He also has trouble getting off blocks and often times you can see him getting washed out of the play by a group of players allowing the ball carrier to find huge holes. I will agree with Collin that many of his tackles are 4+ yards down field. No stats to back it up right now. He might not even be the best MLB as a rookie. Take a look at the Carolina/Seattle game and watch how Wagner stands out. He is def talented but I don't think he quite pro bowl yet.

Its tough for guys on teams that arent in the playoff hunt to make it. Its always been that way. Which is kinda what makes 5 KC guys making it look kinda baffling.

I guess, CJ, Hardy, Keek, Smitty and Tolbert were the guys in with a shout.

And seeing as how name recognition carries alot of weight it was always gonna be tough for Keek in a low market team. I Imagine Willis will be a guy voted almost automatically for years, and FWIW I think Bowman has had a better year than him this year, so not really shocked to see the Keek snub if that's what it is.

CJ and Hardy look like the bigger snubs to me, really thought 1 of them would make it, but in reality we dont need Hardy having even more contract leverage so im fine with that.

Thought Tolbert was leading the FB race. Havent seen much of Minn at all so I cant really speak on Felton, guess he opened a bunch of holes for you know who. Weve been kinda spotty in our use of Tolbert in truth anyway.

Until Willis rips his acl in week 1 all middle linebackers will be injury substitutions. Even when Beason played a full year Willis was the starter.

well 7 teams didn't make the Pro Bowl, 4 teams only sent one

maybe Goodell will change the rules to every team gets at least one player in the Pro Bowl and the teams that don't make it can have a team vote and send one

Observed, but I dug up some stats. It's kind of a pain so I haven't gone through every play by play log, but here are three games to look at in terms of how many yards were gained before Kuechly made a tackle:

KC 5.9 total (3.2 on runs)
    PHI 5.5 total (all runs)
CHI 7.3 total (3.3 on runs)

There is also some controversy about how assists are awarded, which is why tackles totals differ depending upon the source. In terms of solo tackles, Kuechly is only 10th among linebackers. It's been hard for me to find an official source on tackles for loss, but one unofficial site I found had him tied for 20th among defenders with twelve. Lavonte David has been significantly better in both solo tackles and tackles for loss, which is amusing since I made several comments about him not being a downfield-type, attacking player.

Good stats, which surprise me a little. Thanks.

Since he usually is lined up deeper than 4 yards from the LOS, doesn't this stat show that he's attacking and making tackles, since he's stopping runs for around 3.5 yds. per carry (albeit the Chicago game)? Maybe I'm confused by what constitutes a "downfield" tackle.
