    Steve Wyche on NFL network mentioned today that we could release Jake Delhomme and since its an uncapped year, we wouldn't take a big salary cap hit.

    sounds good to me you guys think we'll do this?

    As was discussed earlier, we wouldn't take the cap hit, but we'd still have to pay him 12 million dollars. If I gotta pay anyone 12 mil. His ass will be at every game. You'd see jake in the concession stands if necessary, and mopping up the locker rooms afterwards.

    While it makes financial sense to keep him around as a backup, his presence on the bench has got to be a huge cancer to Moore's confidence. We all know Jake is Fox's whore, so Moore's got to be worried a bad game or two will lead to a quick hook.
    Better for team chemistry to write jake a check and send him on his way.

    No chance. Moore himself is a restricted free agent and will get some offers from different teams.

    Odds are Moore gets the highest tender, a 1st and a 3rd is pretty steep.
