    Free-agent TE Jeremy Shockey (Saints) could sign with the Carolina Panthers Thursday, March 3, according to Darin Gantt, of the Rock Hill Herald. Shockey said he would like to a sign a deal by Thursday, March 3.

    Probably because he feels like this is his best chance to start and be a central part of an offense. Most other teams have at least one good TE. We have 0.

    I love Yaz's take that Smith won't be able to handle it.

    It would be the best thing for Smith's career, short of getting a veteran QB in here. Shockey's not what he was, but he's viable enough to draw attention away from 89.

    And, as B&B has said, he was the Giants' best blocker at TE. Boss is too fucking tall to block.
