I like the idea of him honoring his dad this way (doesn't hurt that he is sponsored by Wrangler, lol).

It irritates me to see that Austin Dillon driving a black #3 truck. Richard Childress' grandson, phooey.

richmond was ok i guess. i liked the friday night race a little better than the saturday night race. kyle busch kinda stunk up the early part of the race, but nascar "fixed" things up real quick. these green-white-checker finishes seem to be the norm lately.....adds another wild card to the deck.

    on to darlington.

if Jr. switched to the # full time maybe he would try harder to finish respectfully. Every week an unscheduled pit stop, loose wheel, flat tire, ignitiion box, not enought t.v. time riding in 20th, etc.

NASCAR driver hospitalized with blood clots

    May 14, 2010 11:47 AM
    Sports staff reports

DOVER, Del (AP) — NASCAR driver Brian Vickers was hospitalized with blood clots in his legs and around his lungs.

Red Bull Racing general manager Jay Frye says Vickers is on medication and was hopeful of being released from the hospital on Friday.

Frye says Vickers complained of discomfort on his chest and went to the hospital. He says the team is not sure what caused the clots.

Frye says there is "no timetable" for Vickers' return.

The 26-year-old is in his seventh full season racing in NASCAR's elite Sprint Cup Series. He has two career Cup wins and made the 12-driver Chase for the championship last season.

He's currently ranked 20th in the standings.

Casey Mears will replace Vickers in the No. 83 Toyota.
