Damn, I always try to remember the Dan Morgan that played in the SUper Bowl and had 20+ tackles. Too bad thats just one game of the 60 or so he has played and ignoring roughly the 1/3 he has missed with as many concussions as he has fingers on one hand. As much as I like him, I wouldn't be pissed if he were cut

we'll get out of paying a $2.7 mil bonus if he retires, but I don't know that he will. We'd as likely have to get rid of him. The roster bonus doesn't prorate, that's already counted. It was, what, $6 mil that he signed for in 2005? If so, only $2 mil would've been amortized. Since July has obviously passed, he's already counting $1 mil on 2007, so we'd take a $3 mil hit. Minus the salary and the $2.7 mil bonus, it's a wash. He still counts against the cap, but would anyway.

Unless his head injury has made him delusional, he has to see that it's hang it up time. I know it's got to be very hard to do, but he's got to face reality.

    Damn this sucks.

And yes, it's inexplicable that Hurney gave him that kind of deal when the situation was there right in front of him. It's not like Dan was keeping secrets until after he signed the deal.

I'm hating this. I like Morgan, think he's a good player, and there's no doubt that he wants to be out there. But yeah, he needs to retire.

So, what kinda MLBs will be draftable next year? :(

Honestly, I'd like to see Draft and Seward battle for the job. Initially, I felt like Seward was an outside guy, but the staff likes him inside and I feel like he'd succeed there.

Draft will be a FA, though.

The Rams defense, as a whole, was quite impressive yesterday. If they keep it up, that NFC West race is going to be more interesting than I anticipated.
