Hardly Favre, but it was refreshing. I loved the deep ball. I loved that it wasn't Delhomme. I loved that he didn't completely suck, which gives reason for hope.

He's won 3 of 4 starts. I'd imagine that'll be 3 of 5 after NE. Beating NE would be unreal for that kid.

Also gotta love the conservative calling with a young guy in the red zone. The alternative is what the Bucs did to freeman - Moore didn't throw 3 picks in the end zone, b/c he didn't have the chance. I like that.

    We got lucky, though.

I just noticed moore completed 70% of his passes. Last time Delhomme did that? Against TB on 12/8. Same number of attempts, too. 14 of 20.

Delhomme had a TD and 2 Ints that day.

It's crazy that as mediocre as Moore was, that's the best ( and even most efficient ) QB play we've had in a very long time.

    NE will be very interesting.

He had 161 yards and a pick for a rating of 73.1. Certainly not horrible but not great either. Do not get too excited about him. Jake has had better games than that this year.

He had a QB rating of 115.8 against the Falcons. I am not suggesting that Jake should still be playing but lets not give Moore the nobel prize for not being Jake.

I think panther fans would be thrilled to give any other QB who does not cough up the ball three times more than he scores TDs whatever prize they feel like giving him

Unfortunately "not being jake" IS prize worthy in and of itself

I have said many times that I think Jake is the main reason we have struggled so hard this year. I just do not want to put too much faith in Moore until he earns it. Right now I am hoping for a new QB next season who is not currently on the roster. Moore has a long way to go to change that.

Also, remember Moore wasn't Brees or Favre because he wasn't allowed to be. I'm not saying that he is or will be, but until he is given the chance to actually throw the ball around I'm just reserving judgment on whether or not he's any good. The coaching staff held his reins pretty tightly against the Bucs...

When the Pats start kicking our ass next week he should have plenty of chances to throw the ball in a futile effort to catch up.

Fox wouldn't declare Moore the starter for the upcoming game against the Patriots.

You think he's just trying to not give them any information or that he is actually considering playing Jake Delhomme with a broken hand?
