In any event you can get a 15" monitor that has been checked out for 5 or10 dollars and it will get you through till you get that new monitor. I don't have but 20 bucks into my daughters computer and she's playing away at sims like mad and having a swell time does her home work all is well after a year.

As I said the big goodwill outlet on freedom drive.

Yeah but when you pay only $5-10 for it, it comes out around 65-75 brand new would be $150 and up for a good one.

Shipping isn't "high" unless they're unscrupulous.

I have a Sony GDM 500PS 21" Trinitron (flat screen CRT) that I purchased used from 2ndwindpcs.com EBay for $85. I believe it retailed for about $2000 a couple of years ago. I paid about $75 for shipping, which you might call "high" until you try lifting said monitor. It weighs seventy five pounds (!). I had to help the Fed Ex guy carry it off the truck. Luckily, I had come home for lunch that day. On the contrary, I think I got a bargain on shipping, and I don't think anyone can argue about the value I more or less lucked into. I got a huge, high-end professional design calibur monitor for just over $150. Ive had it for a year and it is still working flawlessly.

I wouldn't even consider going another route for a monitor. Especially when there are so many Samsung 900NF (or whatever the model # is) 19" monitors floating out there on reseller shelves. Those are fantastic monitors that can consistently be had for under $100 because they sold so many in the first place. They're like Honda Accords. Everyone's got one.

If you would rather buy a monitor then i will sell you one for what I paid--25 bucks from Builder and 50 bucks from PhotoGuy--you can buy eithwer one but if i was you i would go for the 25 one.
