    i stood around for 15 minutes ignored by no less than 10 people with red vests in two different departments.

    finally some old guy asked if i'd been helped as an after thought....

    i need a roof, siding and windows on my house asked to set up an estimate. second guy tells me that they will come out and work up a complete estimate for $35 bucks and if i use them they will knock it off the price. they just blew blew 40k+ job by trying to grift me for $35 bucks.

    home depot gave me the full deal sales estimate and never even used the word free, they just did it.

    i have a couple of other contractors lined up, eacg giving estimate sans fee.

    i walked out of lowes saying fuck this motherfucking bullshit. anyone within 15 feet heard me. classy i know but i was pissed.

    we're friends with the regional HR manager for home depot, so we go there.

    Window World has better windows for less money than Lowes and they also do siding

    Lowes pisses me off every time I go in there.

    I buy appliances at HHgregg and only go to Lowes to buy yard stuff because Home Depot is so much further.
