Because that's what fans can do.

Two home games upcoming. One against Tampa, another against the fading Browns who will almost certainly be starting a rookie QB. Do we win both of those games? Maybe not, but it wouldn't surprise me if we did.

Atlanta goes to Lambeau tomorrow night, in a game they won't win unless Aaron Rodgers breaks his leg on the second play. I'll go ahead and pencil them in at 5-8.

    NOLA is 5-8.

At the very least, we still in this bitch. :panthers:

Possible, but then again, the shitty Panthers may return. Minutes into the game I looked at my husband and said "WHO ARE THESE GUYS?! CAN WE KEEP THEM?!"

After today I have no idea what to expect. The more you learn in this league, the less you know. Tampa could beat us by 50, who fucking knows.

Either way, much more fun to watch when you're in it. There's a chance.

There's a chance that we can cuck Mike Smith out of playoffs and a job in his wife's bed in week 17. Even if we're eliminated, that's something to look forward to.

Win or lose I think Smith is history. Still kicking around the idea of going there for it.

This is the 2nd December in a row we've played in games that matter. That doesn't happen very often around these parts. :panthers:

Part of me would rather see us picking 8th or so rather than picking 22nd and being the laughingstock of the NFL for getting in at 7-8-1. Have no desire to hear the talking heads jabber incessantly about how we don't deserve a home playoff game.

I don't give a rat's ass what "they" say. This team is all I care about. Those are the same people who obnoxiously talk about how quarterback is the most important position in the history of sports. They're the same people who said RG3 was better than Andrew Luck. They're all retards. As far as I'm concerned, they can kick and scream and foam at the mouth about us all they want. I said goodbye to that world a long time ago.

As far as the draft goes, we're going to fuck it up anyway, so we might as well avoid fucking up a top five pick. All that having a high draft pick guarantees is false optimism during the spring and summer. A playoff spot is a playoff spot. It's a chance to catch fire and see what the fuck happens. And realistically, the Panthers only get a few every decade, so I refuse to turn my nose up at any opportunity.

We all laughed at Seattle when they got in at 7-9, back when Pete Carroll was a college coach in over his head as an NFL head coach. That was the narrative in the weeks leading up to that game. Seattle sucks, they don't belong in the playoffs, Pete should go back to USC, Marshawn Lynch was a draft bust from Buffalo, etc etc.

The story changes a whole bunch when you win.
