Being a non-playcalling coordinator doesn't really get you a ton of credit in the NFL. There are some guys who've still ascended, but it's less likely and rightly so.

There are also very few guys who've jumped from pro to college HC and back with significant success, or else more guys would. And no, I don't find 8-5 in the neutered Big East to be an amazing accomplishment compared to the other names that have been brought up from college this year.

If I said last year "Wp28 mentioned Georgia guard Cordy Glenn, who I had to look up," that doesn't mean I was checking his Wikipedia page for neat personal stories or that I was going to give him a call.
