Cowher rumors include Dallas, Giants, and Dolphins. He's too hot a commodity for us. On another note, Baker is getting some attention as a DC prospect. Of the two, it might be better to keep Baker as DC and let Meeks go.

    Predictions

I think a lot has to do if we get the first pick.

Expect Denver to go after Harbaugh. Expect Miami to nab Cowher and give him the reins. Tennessee will fire Fisher and go after Shottenhiemer, but he goes to Denver. Fisher to Cleveland. Grimm will interview here in Carolina, and go to Tennessee.

If we draft Luck, we pay Harbaugh. If not, do not be surprised if we go with Grimm or Shottenheimer.

current assistants with other teams aren't really in play. Meeks is only an option as a head coach.

How about Meeks as Head Coach and Dungy can have Hurney's job

Tar Heels going hard after Baker for their DLine opening, as are other colleges. From the Heel insiders, Baker's also being pursued by Panthers, but for what, I have no clue.

There's also some smoke about Baker and potentional college head coaching gigs, like Maryland, but nothing concrete at this point.

Promote Meeks, bring in a solid OC and a veteran QB and we are going to be pretty good next year.

Start over with a new coach with a completely different system and another rookie QB and it will be a few years before we are good again.

I don't want to hire a coach that will "fit well with the system we've been running". That system is god awful dull , conservative on both sides of the ball, and has led to 3 winning, 6 losing seasons. Bring in a whole new system, and find guys for that system.
