Would have been kinda cool to see Clippers vs Kobe and the laktards, just to see the look on all the Laker fans faces here in SoCal after the Clippers whipped their asses.

Suns made that look easy after struggling early in the series. I think they just woke up after snatching a loss from the jaws of victory twice in game 4. Suns really outplayed them the last 4 games.

i was hoping the lakers would win. they were actually playing some really good ball. oh well.

the suns did this to the lakers in the early 90's. la was the lower seed (8th?) and were up 2-0 on the suns in the best of 5 1st round. the suns took the next three and eliminated them.

1 point and only 3 shots taken in the second half against the great Suns defense. He seemed to give the ball up way to easy. I still hopes he never wins another championship even better if Garnett goes to the Lakers and they still lose.

ESPN was suggesting that Kobe intentionally gave up on the game to make a point that the Lakers can't win without him scoring a ton of points.

Kobe is just the NBA's Barry Bonds. Who cares about both, I just wish they both would go away. There're both Ass Holes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sort of. ESPN did suggest that, but Kobe was a lot more blunt in his press conference. Basically, he was saying, "I can't do this all by myself, so you guys better start making some shots, because I'm not going to carry you all game." He said it more PC than that, but the intent is the same. Which, as Charles Barkley stated after the game, is still selfish.

boy, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

what kobe said was that they were down so much that it wasn't the kind of game they were going to get back into if nobody was able to make shots. so yeah, basically he was saying he couldn't do it himself, but if he had tried to do it himself, people would have complained that while he score 50 points, nobody else scored anything and they still lost.

i don't particularly like the lakers, but they were actually playing some really good team ball this series.
