pathetic- dee brown cant get a yard on 2 carries. once inside, once outside, now a freaking crack back.

 

I don't know why we kept Brown over Hicks

 

Towns has always controlled his gaps. The problem is, now he's got one gap, and pursuit. He really needs to be behind big guys who are in two gap, to be his best. But in goal line, yeah, he'll shine.

Brown can't block for himself. The OL looked, at best, unorganized, while on the move. I hope we don't pull block much this year, Jeno looks bad at it, and he's traditionally to be the one on the move the most.

 

agreed- he's not a special teams ace, nor can he bull and get the short yardage. if davis goes down, we're left with foster and brown as 1-2. cutting hicks was a huge mistake, IMO.

 

Ring Ring. Wake up call for the Carolina Panthers. Defense has not even gotten close to the QB and once again we have not even got close to scoring with the first team. I think this loss will be good for the team. May be put some fire in their belly going into the first real game.

Hicks couldn't catch, play special teams at all, and was largely lazy. The job was his to lose and he couldn't beat out Michael Freaking Bates. Brown does all of those things - well? Average, about the way a 3rd RB would. He's done well with blocking, which we've only blocked one team well.
