    Breaking news according to Packman. Tore up old deal, new deal runs through 2010 at approximately 5 mil per.

    Congrats Foxy, I think we all agree this is great news.

    two years ago, was a 4 year deal. Better to have done it this way (get hard-nosed guy cheap, extend him with results, extend him further with continued results) than to, say, give a guy a "lifetime contract" after one winning season.

    Good deal. Fox has done a great job and has earned a new contract. I think he could end up being one of those guys that stays with one team and has a long run like Bill Cowher has done in Pittsburgh.

    I heard one of the radio guys talking about this earlier today. They mentioned that Fox should get a new deal very soon because if the Giants need a new coach in the near future, they love Fox. They said the late Wellington Mara recommended Fox to Uncle Jerry.
