An aquaintence of mine has gotten to know Foster somehow through his job for which he makes deliveries of some kind to Deshaun's residence. He said that Deshaun wan't to get back to the west coast and mentioned Seatle, San Fran or Oakland. That made me wonder about the feasibility of some sort of Foster and pick for Alexander trade. If they know Foster wants to go back to the west coast and probably won't resign even if they want him back where does that leave us? I'm assuming Davis is done or at least can't be counted on.

Ugh, not what I wanted to hear. I had forgotten that he initially said he wanted to be drafted by a team on the West Coast. He'd probably stick if we offered him the most money, but that doesn't sound like an appetizing prospect. As for Alexander, we could have him for a second-rounder, but we'd have to give him a huge contract.

What about Foster and and some kind of lesser pick? For arguments sake what would it take?

Hard to say. Alexander is certainly worth more than a second-rounder, but Seattle is apparently willing to settle for that. Meanwhile the Seahawks have an adequate backup in Maurice Morris, and Foster's value isn't at its highest right now. I couldn't really see us getting Alexander for less than Foster and a third rounder, but even then I'd be surprised if they settled for anything less than a second.

Which we don't have the cap room to do. We couldn't even fit him under his current franchise price.

Buffalo wouldn't have any interest in that. I doubt they'd be interested in Foster at all since they wouldn't be able to re-sign him (West Coast and probably wants a shot at being a starter).
