:229031_ha What is the agenda on the first minicamp? Is it just getting assignments, introductions and getting last year behind them or do they actually get out on the field and go through drills and plays.

Yes, they go through drills and plays. They wear helmets, but no other pads. They're not supposed to hit, but they hit gently.

Its learning, or refreshing the memory of, the plays a little, and getting in a football frame of mind. Sometimes the coaches will experiment with players a little in other positions.

This minicamp is mandatory, so its also a chance for the coaches to get a look at everyone (unless someone is holding out), and see if someone is out of shape, or whatever.
