All they need now is Brandon Short to play SLB and they will be set.

The Rams don't value gap control, apparently. At all.

But it would've been nice to have him back. It would, at least, be a need taken care of.

Are they moving Draft outside, or Witherspoon?

Morgan is really hurting this franchise. If not for him we would have probably resigned both Spoon and Draft. Now they are both gone and we are stuck with Morgan. When Morgan goes down we will be hurting.

Draft, I think. I could be wrong, though.

amended that for you. Hurney's stock is dropping way down in my eyes because of the way he's handled the Morgan situation.

To Marty Hurney: it's a sad day when the fans are smarter than the you are about anything concerning the team, spend some of JR's money on a clue.

Re-sign Witherspoon and we'd still be looking for a middle linebacker and Morgan would've been under contract through this past year. We could've, in that alternate reality, re-signed Draft, but I don't think they viewed him as the long term starter.
By that, I mean I'm assuming they're looking to bring a young guy along quickly and simply hope Morgan can, in fact, be up long enough to help the process along.

But if we'd gone with that scenario last year, we'd have started the rookie all year.

I am really starting to question the leagues position on players long term health in relation to concussions. Morgan should have been forced into retirement after missing another season due to a soft mellon.
