LOL yeah it is.....but I've been saying this about Culpepper since yesterday, but I guess I could blame it on my mind being on a different game.

Latest they were saying yesterday is that Culpepper is out for at least a calendar year, meaning he won't take the field until the last half of the '06 season.

The PCL and ACL are kind of twins. One goes from the front of the thigh bone to the back of the larger shin bone. The other does the reverse. They form an X if you were looking from the side, which is why they're called "cruciate" for cross. I have no idea why the ACL is torn so much more. I don't think I've read about the PCL being torn unless the ACL and at least one of the side ligaments are torn too.

the knee basically has to dislocate for the PCL to rupture or tear. It's not as susceptible to change-of-direction injuries, though I'm not certain why. I've read that it's usually much more likely to be bent-knee injuries when it's the PCL, that if the leg is extended the PCL won't go. So it's more likely to get torn when someone else impacts it from a terrible angle (like McGahee's, or Culpepper's) or from a car accident, than from a tear like the average ACL tear (remember Rod Woodson, with the Steelers, facing up against a juking Barry Sanders, and tearing it without being touched? ...and other astroturf injuries)
