My point earlier about the QB, was that I don't think we can ever win a Super Bowl w Young. Maybe a 9-8 record gets you into the playoffs, only to be bounced.

At the end of the day, Webster cannot put the team on his back and carry them as other QB's can do. Picking a very small guy like this with thoughts about him being the 2nd Drew Brees was off base.

I agree that the play calling is quite predictable sometimes and makes you scratch your head other times. Legette needs to be coached to stop dancing and try to run over people. He is not Steve Smith but even Smith was way more physical than Legette

I am looking at the Oline and thinking rebuild...Corbett is likely to retire and Moton isn't getting big money.
Need to shore up that front for the immediate future...THEN go get a QB.
Bryce is NOT a long term solution, there are gritty, big balls guys out there...we need a YOUNG Jake Delhomme type of guy...not a shine new toy for Tepper

I'd rather we just stick with a fucking quarterback and keep improving the roster around him. Most QBs can't and don't carry their whole team. That's not a realistic thing to chase.

My hope is that we can learn from our mistakes instead of repeating them. We didn't take Darnold seriously here. I certainly didn't, almost from the moment we traded for him. I was wrong. Same with Baker, to an extent. I learned the right lessons from being wrong.

Young is probably in the exact same bucket. QBs generally aren't accidentally drafted in the top 3. I'd bet a lot of money on Bryce being someone else's solution at QB if/when the Panthers seen him unworthy.

Young is still growing, both physically and mentally. There's no reason to think he can't manage an offense effectively, and sometimes he makes insane things happen. He's not the final answer, but I don't think he's the problem.

We need Coordinators. Evero doesn't adjust well, and if his blitz packages don't get home then we have no rush. We have a similar lack of imagination on offense. There should be some strong candidates this spring on both sides of the coaching carousel, but I wouldn't be surprised to roll into next year with Idzik finally calling plays and Renaldo Hill taking over the DC spot. Not that I would be happy about it, but sometimes it feels like we value familiarity a little too much.

The defense will be much better next year, I'm sure of it. We're going to get someone good to patrol the middle, and more help on the edge. I'm not sure how, but Morgan has had two good Free Agencies and I expect a third, and another strong draft. We also have some really promising rookies who are only going to get better. I think that we're well positioned to be a problem in the South for a good while.
