I like that name better than the world cup. Anyway, who you rooting for? Read a preview in ESPN mag and it seems Canada has the best team. Russia has some great forwards, but neither of their goalies are in the NHL. USA looks old, just as they did 8 years ago with the same players. I'd pull for Canada because of Lemieux, but I dont want there to be any more reasons to kiss Wayne GRetzky's ass.

Ever since the Nagano fiasco where no one had the balls to stand up and take the consequences, I've been for Canada. It had to be Keith or Chelios... especially after the getting tossed at the restaurant deal.

Oh don't worry. We're talking about Canada, not Quebec. Big difference!

Screw Canada. I cant believe those ungrateful bastards left Messier off the team. How about showing some class and gratitude and have the Cup be his goodbye? If nothing else, couldnt they use his leadership? Isnt this is what is lacking most in these all-star teams? Instead they put the C on Lemieux's sweater, if there is a player that has less heart than that lazy lurp I dont know who it is. I know some may say I am a homer, but why would Kris Draper make the team before Messier or Lindros. He is a scrappy guy who played over his head this year. Id rather have tough players that ooze with skill

    I'm pulling for the Czechs.

Especially when they play the US or Canada.

Wow, I never realized how much I missed watching a hockey team I was rooting for lose. :suicide:
Please tell me that was a one time deal with Roenic announcing. He teetered on 'bearable' tonight, but I'll hate him for reasons other than being a Flyer if I have to keep hearing his yappin

    PS
    Lemieux is god

Forget slans...does he even have his green card? puh-leez...Canada would like nothing more than for the Q province to secede from the union, and you know what, nobody would miss them. I do think the Nucls have the best squad, but I would hope for a Canada-Sweden final.....and then it's on.
