    Free agent (I think) ~ given the obvious tie-in with Rivera and a crappy free agent market.. would you consider him?

    absolutely . .. a decent QB coach could fine tune Volek into a very solid game manager

    BUT . . . will the new OC be required to apply the same offensive philosophy where all you need is a solid game manager at the helm???

    He came in for McNair a few years ago and lit it up. Never has had a chance to be a regular starter. Might have a year or two left in him.
