I don't think I can take another season with Brown at the PG position. The decisions he makes with the ball are not of PG instinct. He plays like a 2 guard which most of the time is when he touches the ball he shoots. He is a selfish player and really erks me that he takes unnecessary shot. Don't get me wrong, I like Brown but in a different role. He's a scorer and that's it. Once the ball goes to Brown, it's usually shot at that point.

Baldwin is what I see as a true PG. He's unselfish and looks for the open man (pass first shoot 2nd), reminds me a lot of Colson. He's fast and makes good open court decisions. He's not peaked yet but when he's in there he has that instinct that good PGs have.

I don't know why we start Plavich and Brown. They are both scorers and are both one dimensional. They will never drive to the basketball. Another reason why I'd rather have Baldwin in there for contrasting style of guard play.

Baldwin would rather play defense. Until he will drive and pull up for the jumper or dish it off, he'll not get the job. Mitch can shoot well, he did in high school and can here. I saw him practice before one of the games and he was hitting everything thrown at the basket. He must shoot enough to keep the opposition honest.

    How were the seats Savio?

    :xyzthumbs: Awesome!

as for Baldwin, he does dish it off or takes it up strong to the hoop, something our other two guards will not do. He's getting better and I expect him to be a pretty good guard after this season is under his belt. I think he has more of a fitting role as a pure PG than Plavich or Brown.

No doubt is he true PG. Luckily for him, he's not capable of playing the #2. ;)

Just checking... was Demon the point guard on two NCAA teams? Thought so. He'll be fine. There is no way Mitchell does some of the things he has done to this point against above average teams because he will wind up on his ass. Don't get me wrong, he has been terrific to this point, but he is no Sean Colson or even close. Good teams will sag and make him hit a jumper, which he has not proven he can do... and you think, just maybe, another coach may realize I dribble better with my left hand than Mitchell does and I don't have a left hand. Give everything some time to sort out.

I remember Rodney White, Jobey Thomas, Diego Guevara, Cam Stephens, James Zimmerman, Jermanine Williams and Curtis Nash having a bit to do with it too those seasons.

We went to the NCAA tournament those years DESPITE Demon at the point. He struggled to get the ball up the floor against both teams so far. He eventually just pulls a "Nash" and gives the ball to Butter or Basden and lets them take it up.

Take a good look next game, every teams pressures him in the backcourt. It is not a coincidence, it is by design as he is a very shaky ball handler with poor court vision.
