    I need that too.

So, what should I be looking at while I'm waiting on the price of that Sony TV to drop?

Bro-in-law bought us a Wave system for our upstairs living room. Real nice. The home theater stuff gets $$$ in a hurry though. My wallet screams and then runs and hides when I walk into the Bose store at the Columbia Mall.

Just bought the Denon AVR-4306 and I love it.

    http://usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/2243.asp

You can basically set the included microphone up in the room and put it in each seat and it automatically sets it up online. You can also hook it up to your home network and use the web configuration to tune everything. You can also stram MP3 audio and internet radio.

Sound is awesone and it is getting some of the best reviews out there. Plus it has component and HDMI switching.

you could get the new Bose Bookshelf 201's, which I think sound amazing, sell for about $200/pair, the center is on sale for $180, add a decent sub and you could get a 7.1 surround sound for @ $1k, depending on how much sub you want. I like the Polk Audio subs...

just tell the sales guy you want a better price because you're buying 3 pairs of Bose plus a center & a sub, they'll knock the price no problem, all you got to do is don't be afraid to ask

IMO the little cube speakers+sub sound great for movies, but not so much for music & cd's...the bookshelf speakers sound awesome both ways, and you don't need a great deal of power to push them...they're small and still have that full sound, plus you can put them anywhere and they through sound all over the place
