    I got the AMD. Works great and was cheaper. This was about 6 months ago. Newegg.com

    Athlon 64 for the win.

    It's really not close anymore. Even a low end A64 ($cheap$) is a beast of a cpu.

    Agreed! Pentium's are way overpriced anymore. They used to be a much better CPU, but anymore AMD is just as good.

    I've got a AMD 64 3800

    Go with AMD you won't be disappointed.

    A64 suppports 64 bit apps out of the box.

    The soon to be released Athlon will be dual core & affordable. Very nice.

    I have nothing against Intel, but they blew it with the P4 line and have been scrambling to make up ground since.
