    Intel is whipping AMD's ass like a bitch and the only people going with AMD are generally the people that went to AMD a few years ago and are blindly loyal, and people that would just as soon buy an Intel Centrino. A processor is just a damned part. There's no reason to be loyal to it. Go with the best out NOW.

    Sorry. That was gridspeak.

    Intel = Barbra Streisand
    AMD = Bette Midler

    True only in laptops. In desktops AMD still pulls ahead of Intel and they do so for far fewer dollars.

    That's the most recent articles that I can find and that's what I'm basing my statements on. I wish that I could find something more recent but it seems as though the nect generation is in developement and aren't being released yet mush less tested. The price things really can't be argued. AMD beats Intel hands down there. AMD just announced another price cut too.

    Intel does come out a head on some things. Image editing is the one that stands out in my mind and I believe that I read that it handles integer math better then AMD does but AMD comes out ahead in floating point math. AMD handles games better while Intel handles something to do with music files better.

    So you linked me to June of 06 and November of 05 and the AMD page??? Intel has a faster benchmark period right now. AMDs best cannot reach Intel's best. Furthermore where's AMD's quad-core?? You've shown nothing in the links regarding that.
