2012 Draft?

There are definitely different sweet spots for positions. HB is notorious for staying strong after the 1st round, but several others also do well in the middle rounds. DT is probably the most obvious in terms of needing to be picked early because it has so much to do with size and athleticism. Those guys stand out, so usually if you're going to be a dominant DT in the NFL, you were already a dominant DT in college. That's a good question, though. It's something I should look at with some kind of study, but I doubt that I'll ever get around to it.

 

Sounds a bit like a physical freak is always easy to spot, but a football player is not. The special players are both.
