The West game didn't help with their terrible mound. WR mound is awful. Wright really has done a disservice to his pitchers with that lousy mound.Wanted to give you a heads up. Sorry I didn't get back up with you when you messaged me earlier. Bless Thomas' heart, he is so tired of people asking about his arm. Even his brother, Daniel, gets asked anytime he sees folks. We appreciate people's concern and believe me, all of us, especially Thomas is ready to move on and play ball. I look at this is a learning experience for Thomas too. Thanks again. Hopefully they will move on and Thomas will get to pitch soon. I think he said Parker will get the start tomorrow.

Just a heads up.Thomas won't pitch tomorrow. He is getting better and throwing more at practice, but it is still "tight". Heat seems to do more good than cold. He is frustrated. He will be ok if they go farther than tomorrow. It really is like a bump on his muscle and hurts only when he throws the fastball. He lifted, ran and threw some today at practice. He has been going to Physcial Therapy for past couple of weeks, but didn't today. It was good for him to throw on Friday. He just didn't have the velocity. It is not career threatening or anything. It is the worst kept secret in Rowan Co. I was surprised Mike London didn't know about it before he wrote that Thomas was going to start last week. This happened during the Mooresville game after that dumb kid didn't slide to 2nd and Preston nailed him throwing to 1st. After tending to that kid, Thomas waited around about 40 minutes, tho he was throwing some with Luke. Two innings later his arm cramped up and the knot!

Thanks again. Thomas is looking forward to playing with Coach Gantt all summer in Legion and I know he will learn alot from Gantt and Lowman. He is enjoying his high school season very much with Hightower and Hatley. He thinks the whole of both of them and he discussed his options with both of them before making his decision. Thomas, I think is a definite leader on the team. The East boys seem to be pretty relaxed and in control of things when Thomas is on the mound. It also helps Thomas so much when he has a great defense behind with Noah and Preston and the other talented under-classmen. Great group of guys!
He got his paper work today from Pembroke and will sign tomorrow. If you would like to post it on TBR, feel free to as it was in the Salisbury Post yesterday.
      Thanks again.
Keep up the good press on our boys.

Just wanted to let you know that my son, Thomas Allen has verbally committed to UNC-Pembroke. He is very excited to be a Brave. It was in the small section of the Area Briefs of the Post yesterday. I am not much on posting, so wondered if you would. He had a difficult decision between Pembroke and beloved Coach Gantt at Catawba. He also had an offer from Lenior-Rhyne.
Also, the big game tonight at Carson will probably decide the NPC Conference. Thomas is schedule to start tonight at Carson. He says he is ready.
Thanks for all of your great posts on the boys at East and Rowan County.
      Best regards,
      Jean Allen
