I heard Gantt's wife is popular in the Panthers locker room.

      No, seriously.

this past year would've been a great time to get Cowher, really. In that Mularkey, Gailey were out there, and Grimm didn't move so there's less chance of fighting for those assistants. People will essentially be getting what we already have, just with a more aggressive defense that was really LeBeau's design anyway (not Cowher's, or Haslett's, or Capers') that is becoming obsolete again (in that the vogue is one-gap 3-4 for some reason). I'd be fine with him, but he's gonna have to wait a while and I really still believe in Fox. But yeah, there was a lot of doubt after the MN game, it's that first game where it's OMG FIREFOX. To me, a figurehead is important, it's like the elections, but your staff is huge. I'm not against guys who call their own plays or that micromanage, but you can't survive long term being all of that.

I'm sure Kemoeatu is more expensive at DT, either are fine for what we need really and I think MK is responding well to being back in the weakside one gap role instead of occupying blockers, whatever all that was about.

Jarrett's been good. We could've easily done without Hackett, but he got us through those first two games and that's worth it I guess. We can cut him after the year, though. You don't really need 4 receivers like that. Jarrett will be fine, and I'm glad. We really couldn't afford that to be a bust.

yeah, would like Davis locked up. I like him in his current role of flipping around to strength.

if not, I'm sure we'll live, of course, we can replace him, but that's a strength, he and Beason. You don't get the same out of Connor, and Anderson shows you can throw good picks at the position and get shit-nothing. Getting a top notch DT would possibly shift the strength a little but it's hard to put too much into the D when it's playing well - didn't know Lewis' contract goes up so much, and it's a 3 year right? So not much room to play.

I should show this to Thelt. For one he'd adopt this info as his first-born and two I'd show him it's OK to talk personnel in October without a loss.

Jarrett playing was a matter of time. Stupid to get hackett hurt on a crappy block but just shows why he was available. He hasn't done anything since Smith came back. I wish Robinson was available, because he could contribute, but Jarrett gives us an option that Jake will have a harder time to overthrow (our sucky ass, useless QB that he is).

would be a lot easier if we had a 1st. I'm ok with it, we got it this year, etc but the rationalization of "well if we make the playoffs", blows. Because if we make the playoffs, our first pick is still in the 50s. But we wouldn't get an elite DT that high either.

We won't spend on a FA either. Hell, I don't think they'll get rid of Kemo or Lewis as it stands now. But we'd need a young guy, and Gibson gives us four. it'd be nice to get out without needing an end either, if we were so lucky, so we could go get a RG that's more well rounded or a LG if we don't keep Gross. We still have a patch there. While I'm running off at the gums I'd still like Gamble back, if it's him v/s Marshall.
