Panthers vs Patriots Running Commentary

Last week was all about Michael Penix forgetting how to play quarterback for three hours. It was fun and hilarious, but it had almost nothing to do with the Panthers.

 

And them forgetting to run on the historically soft panthers D

 

So could this be a 1-16 season where the panthers randomly destroy a decent team?

I'm pretty done with the Canales regime. I don't see anything developing and I'm not a detailed ball guy so feel free to call me an idiot. I'm really worried those runs were being called to avoid getting Bryce even worse mentally. The training wheels went back on. A team that wanted to win that game puts Dalton on earlier.

Morgan I'm not sure on. I guess he gets another coach but we're starting over at qb and will have spit out two up and coming young offensive guru types in Brady and Canales. Those types are going to be weary. Hopefully they demand evero go be bad somewhere else.

 

Jerry Richardson never said much publicly, but I'd love to hear his thoughts right bout now!

Morgan technically hired Canales, but he was hamstrung by Tepper's OC/playcaller preference. Like I've said before, it's hard to gauge GM performance here because of the idiot owner being in the kitchen. Anyone in that position is going to have to work within the constraints of Tepper's misguided vision. He would outlast Canales, because GMs get longer leashes than HCs, but he'd be right back to having to pick from a shallow pool of candidates.

 

They'll claim those runs were analytics influenced (which still makes them shitty calls, by the way) but I definitely think there's a lot of truth in your theory. Bryce isn't a particularly resilient QB. They wanted to avoid him spiraling into another multiple INT game.
