"That’s not the end of things, either. There has been talks of a poor S2 Cognitive test. While it has been reported that Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis have all fared well on the test, it’s been silent regarding Stroud in that area.

But Pro Football Focus’ NFL show had S2 co-founder Brandon Ally on the show, who said to take the QB test grades that have leaked with a grain of salt. Ally also offered more.

“This class as a whole, all the guys in the discussion (top-four QB discussion) have scored really, really well,” Ally said. He also said that if he were a GM, he’d use S2 as a sort of tie-breaker between two prospects graded closely. He doesn’t see front offices using the test as anything more."

I guess someone is lying. Either it's this McGinn person or the co-founder of S2, Brandon Ally.
I would imagine that any HS QB could score an 18, LOL.

I think the guy that made up a test and said it correlates to QB success is the biggest liar and smartest guy- sell shovels and you never go bust in a gold rush.

So McGinn says a week ago that 80 is the benchmark on QB's for S2 test. Being above 80 does not guarantee you will be a great QB, but being below 80 has never really produced a good QB. Stroud was apparently 18? My goodness, he did not look that bad, but again, I am certainly not a scout.

No wonder people have him falling below Levis and Richardson now.

But, we are within a week of draft, so don't even trust your own reflection in all the smoke and mirrors that you will hear the next few days.

Obviously Stroud's gaudy numbers are a result of the receiving talent and the system he was in at QB cursed U.
What fool team is going to be desperate enough to even draft him in the first?
He'll be lucky to be drafted in the third.
He has bust and failure written all over him.
The Panthers need a QB that can work a little magic.
Kind of like Wilson in his Seattle days.
Stroud is just a slow processing happy feet choker.

I remember the 1st and 2nd debate on top two QBs when Rodgers fell all the way to 23. He did not bust, who knows. I think if it was a science, there would be no such thing as busts. This back and forth from March through April just gives us something to do.

This was really interesting and hits on the one thing that is more important than all the measurables, workouts, and testing . .. how bad does the player want it?!
Brady gave up a beautiful family for just one more season of playing. After he stayed in a torturous environment for twenty years he still wanted more. He dealt with staffs that wanted it so badly that they cheated and he went along with whatever belichick & co. needed him to do to win SBs. Tom Brady probably has some category of mental illness. . .. obsessive, compulsive, single-minded, savant, ??? His extreme intensely driven mindset is some incredibly rare perfect storm for competitive dominance. Then you have thousands of guys like mayfield, and darnold who will never have a winning mindset for whatever reason(s).
Mahomes clearly has that rare mindset, and you can get the feeling that there is absolutely nothing more important to him than winning football games. With other supremely gifted QBs like Rodgers and Brees there is a mindset that indicates there are interests and facets of life that are equally important to them. Some multi-SB winning QBs just seem to be simple . .. not dumb, just single purposed. Guys like Montana, Elway, Aikman, . .. During their playing years they came off like there was simply nothing else on the agenda other than wanting to win football games. Herbert comes off that way to me. The one QB from the 2023 class that seems to have a Herbert/Montana/Elway/Aikman demeaner to me is Bryce Young. He never looks phased or rattled and I believe that he might have one of those rare mindsets of a guy that can lead teams to Super Bowl wins.

Please take my post as tic.
If Stroud did not score that low then Stroud better have some lawyers lined up for a lawsuit on this McGinn dude.
Cowherd saying if the test score is correct then this puts Stroud in the Mac Jones neighborhood.
    If that pans out...
Jones should not have been drafted in the first round.
No team wants to waste a top 5 pick on someone that can't start for their team.
