Just got home and watched the "riveting" press conference from today.

Not really understanding why they have these press conferences. Same questions, same non answers.

Only thing I remember was that Fitterer thought a WR from last week was a really cool guy. Not sure who and what difference that will make.

    I still say
2nd round will be either a DE/OLB or Darnell Washington

If a G/T that they really like fell there i wouldn't discount that possibility. They might feel as though they have added enough on defense and focus on protection and targets for Young. I would like to see Gibbs, Flowers, or Hyatt be there as our pick. .. this new offensive minded staff will probably want more brand new toys than just a QB.

One mock I looked at had us dropping back into the 40s and picking up another 3rd. Guess it depends on what is there.

Reason I mentioned Washington at TE is that at 265 or 270 lbs, he would open up all sorts of problems for a defense, both running game and receiving.

Not a big fan of Washington. Not much of a receiving threat. As big as he is he has trouble getting any separation and he is not likely to suddenly become an athletic light-footed route runner and pass catcher like Kelce, Gronk, or Kittle. He is mainly a blocker that should help some runs clear the edge, and occasionally even get a pancake on an off balance DB. However, Darnell won't be a big threat as a receiver, unless he learns how to do a flawless impersonation of Harold Carmichael.)

Think we signed the USC TE to a 3 year deal. He will be our Kelce at this point

I’m road-tripping with barry to watch the Braves take on the Marlins. Hate I’m going to miss it. Tell Phil I said hello.
