Dom Capers hired as a mentor of sorts, defensive assistant.
He is king of the 34. Backers coach for 34. Evero runs the base 34 from Fangio.

Brian Burns gonna cause trouble this season
Gonna need a big guy in middle of the D

We already have one. Brown was built for dominating centers in an odd front.

Also, YGM will need to play OLB in this scheme. He's too light for gap & 1/2 DE.

Brian Burns is out of place in a 43 or whatever weird array of fronts we ran last season, but still, he flashed great sometimes. YGM is almost a forgotten guy. I fear a wasted pick.

Brown to me would be a waste in the middle constantly having 2 guys on him. Just my opinion, but he would wreak more havoc at end.

Brown playing off the nose in this system would definitely be unorthodox. Guys who play the 2i ot 3 tech spots in the Fangio defense are closer to the 300 lb range.

I'm not saying you couldn't put him there situationally, but it would be a unusual to have him out wider full time.

Honestly, if you're taking a 30,000 ft view on the team, it's not crazy to think about flipping DB for a pick before you have to pay him. You can grab a good 34 DL rotation on the cheap.
