    He might get the trade he wants if injuries hit, Marshall's balls drop, and some team is willing to part with a conditional pick.

    saw a rumor that said the same thing I was thinking when I saw that story... Mayfield to Carolina is imminent

    If they really are in a "make or break year," they should move for mayfield quick. He still needs to learn the offense. Or they aren't worried cause they've got assurances.

    Is it a guarantee that Mayfield starts if he is picked up after being released?

    That would leave no one but 2 backups that know the offense and the Panthers wouldn't want to pay Mayfield what he would want next year so he'd only be a Panther one season.
