That feels like the most obvious outcome. The team got cucked by the Lions last year, no QB in this draft and everyone seems to know it. The Panthers want a "franchise player" at 6. Any of the three offensive tackles will do.

ALSO, let Ian Thomas eat. I'm sick of this shit. Pornstache needs to get him going.

    I'd like this mother fucker:

Who is the best overall offensive tackle, in your opinion? Who do you want?

Any of the big three would be nice, which makes it all about Kyle Hamilton and Derek Stingley. Unless one of those two creep into the top five, we're looking very seriously at the possibility of all three of the top LTs gone when we make our pick. Jacksonville, Houston, and New York are serious threats to take one, and Becton is on thin ice with the Jets.

If that's the case, then our best play is to find a team that's in love with one of the DBs or Karlaftis, trade back, and cross our fingers for Trevor Penning. Or Rhule sneaks in his selection and we end up with Kenny Pickett and at least three more years of mediocrity being our best case scenario.

Becton's on thin ice? First I've heard of this.

He missed all of 2021 with that knee injury that was supposed to sideline him for 6-8 weeks. Weight and conditioning have been underwhelming for the coaching staff, and Saleh has already said that there would be competition for LT. Given the NY media, of course there are lots of questions arising about his future with the team now.

It would be shocking if they gave up on Becton after one year, especially with all of their other needs. Offensive line is one of the few areas where the Jets aren't a dumpster fire.

Ian Thomas getting paid as much as he has on his rookie deal is a fucking travesty. He was playing relaxed and unmotivated on that money. What makes you think the spots are going to change on this leopard by throwing more money at it?
I just don't see Ikem falling to #6 unless some ladies start coming forward with METOO stories or a body is found in his trunk.
That being said I would take any of the top 5 rated OL choices available. I don't really care if they played center, guard, or tackle in college.
I think with this draft that the OL talent is deep enough that trading down is still a good option and picking some later round picks.
That would be what I'd prefer.
But what do I know, I was a copier/printer tech.
    Now that I think back...
my draft choice last year was Parsons.

About the tackles if all 3 are somehow there, cross would be my pick.

Ekonwu being the best run blocker probably gets rhule on board if he still has say.

Give me Ekonwu. CMC can do more with a hole than Darnold can do with protection.
