This all speaks to the horrible situation Gettleman left this team in. How does that fat, dopey fuck have a job scrubbing shitters in the concourse in the NFL?

I'm not joking when I say zylstra needs more looks. Guy caught higher percentage of his targets than of the other clowns today. Tell the more heralded players you care about production Rhule.

I think that's insane. Teddy would never have gotten us back in the game in the fourth. Darnold clearly has a better arm although he needs to improve his decision making. If he does, he's going to be far better than Teddy. I would rather have Darnold now, at least he tries to get enough yards to move the chains.

You’re exactly right. I was TRYING to forget Hurney’s monetary lunacy.

Cam, Teddy, Darnold, all need a competent Oline. When that happens, Darnold is by far the strongest arm and most accurate

None of that is true. Darnold doesn't even have a "better arm".

A 350 yard drive in the woods isn't better than a 300 yard drive in the fairway.

You are seeing what you want to see with Darnold. I see a quarterback who consistently misses throws, takes sacks, throws bad interceptions, and calls back to back timeouts.

Those missed downfield connections the last couple weeks aren't making your case here. Deep ball accuracy is a seperate kind of accuracy a guy like Russell Wilson kicks ass at it even if there are stronger armed QBs out there.

Here's the Darnold conundrum how much Cap/Draft Capitol do you spend proving he can be above average? And how many seasons? At what point is he supposed to elevate the team instead of having the team elevate him? And how many other needs are you willing to forgo in team building-draft picks, premium contracts* - to get definitely better than Bridgewater?

We're already in a 2nd rounder and cap space for Teddy and Sams 5th year option, over 2 seasons. Plus a chance at fields.

I'm not smart enough to give any sort of realistic answers here but Rhule/Fitterer (note that order) have tied themselves to Darnold and so far the attempt to fix him up is reliant on a team that doesn't exist. I mean even if you're on team Darnold can still get better then they set your boy up to fail and are continuing to do so possibly to the point where he becomes irreparable.

*enjoy starting the cam erving of linebackers

If all of those drops were caught, it's maybe a mediocre game by Darnold.

    Okay. Fine.

That means he needs everyone around him to play near perfect in order to look good.

I shouldn't have to explain why this is a problem.
