Jacksonville has a real chance to grab an elite quarterback and an elite left tackle in the same draft, which would be somewhat comparable to Baltimore landing Ray Lewis and Jonathan Ogden in 1996. Urban Meyer couldn't have picked a better NFL opportunity to walk into.

 

Are you talking about them trading up for a second pick in the 1st to pick one of the 3 or 4 OTs that could be "elite" because I don't seen one dropping into the 2nd round ???

 

They own the 25th and 33rd picks, so trading up for Darrishaw or AVT is in the realm of possibility. Also, I think they have another relatively high 2nd rounder.

 

i got ya, so maybe the cards would go for that since they only have 16, 49, & 160 before their 7th round picks. That would be smart for both teams

 

I just ran a mock with the Jags and was able to swap with Miami at 18 pretty easily, and the sim typically makes trading hard. I think it depends on Slater. It he goes in the top 10, it probably pushes the other two out of reach.


The Jags have a shitload of pics, regardless. They'll be one of the most fascinating teams to watch over the next 2-3 years.
