Rhule had already spent extended time with him at the Senior Bowl.

it beats Haslam getting convinced by a bum on the day of I guess

For all the NFL coaches claiming to have some epic tradecraft regarding who they're drafting they never seem to feint. I'd have guys at as many pro days as possible to sow confusion.

As for head games then why not this. ...
Carolina feints crazy interest in several other QBs only to know that it’s exactly what is needed to motivate teddy into elevating his training, preparation, and play into a top 10 quarterback! Yay!! Now they don’t have to mortgage the future on a trade for vet OR trade up for a rookie!!!!
    Problem solved!

Fitterer might make the case to trade back and take a QB later like he did with Wilson.

    Unlikely but not impossible.

Though I don’t relish the thought of Teddy, fix the damn line.

If they go QB at 8 or move up to draft one...bad move. You have a coach on a 10 year contract, drafted all D last year and still have some holes to fill (but the D is serviceable). Need to get the pieces in place for the future franchise QB...Oline and a big WR are the primary needs and look to fill a D hole or two later in the draft.

    Two cents...

Sewell seems to be very much in play now, which would be thrilling.
