I hadn't read that when philly traded Wentz they are now carrying a nfl record 33.5 million dollars of dead money. That's 1/6 of the cap

If we cut him today, we would be carrying $42 million in dead cap. Right now it's at $22 million, with $18 of that coming from Luke and KK.

Philly has $40 million in dead cap right now, we're 3rd in dead cap behind the Rams, who have $30m in dead cap. The difference is that we have $37m in cap space despite our dead cap, while Philly and LA are both over the cap by about what their dead cap numbers are.

Saints are fucked, fwiw. They're $60m over the cap.

Atlanta can get under the cap just by restructuring Ryan's contract. New Orleans doesn't have an easy route like that.

I don’t see how, but I’m not a cap expert.
