    Even mel is now suggesting that “This QB class is too good” for teams not to trade up for a QB. “Why not” take “flawless” Mac Jones if you’re carolina.
    Ok now his 4th rated QB is merely “flawless”. .. so what does that make the top 3 in his pickled Bombay fermented brain???
    A little perspective is needed i think ——

    let’s look at a few of the PROVEN greatest QB draft classes:

    1983 - #1 Elway, #7 Blackledge, #14 Kelly, #15 Eason, #24 O’Brien, #27 Marino.

    2004 - #1 E. Manning, #4 Rivers, #11 Roethlisberger, #22 Losman, #90 Schaub

    2012 - #1 Luck, #2 RG3, #8 Tannehill, #22 Weeden, #57 Osweiler, #75 Russ Wilson, #88 Foles

    If history is any factor (and I would bet it will be) the law of history (and averages) says that there will NOT be 5 elite (or even above average) quarterbacks in the top 9 picks of this upcoming draft.

    20 years ago Mac Jones would be considered QB2 in this class. Too much emphasis is placed on mobility now. I will be surprised if he doesn't develop into a nice starter over the next few years.

    I also think Wilson will be good if he doesn't get killed, and of course Lawrence is going to succeed. Fields needs to process better and who knows how Lance will do.

    Three good QBs in a class like this isn't a bad projection, and if they develop well this class could rival 2004.

    agree mostly. I would make a comparison to 2012
    Luck = Lawrence
    Fields = RG3
    Tannehill = Jones
    Weeden = Wilson
    Russ = ??? probably no Russell Wilson (MAYBE Lance if all the planets aline)

    sorry to be so harsh towards BYU guy. Just get a really negative feeling about him
    . . . so carolina probably will move up to take him and i will put my entire leg through two sheets of drywall

    No, they'll fuck with me instead and take Pitts. That's the one selection I will have a seriously difficult time wrapping my head around.

    Especially when there are 3 TE available in free agency who could be had for reasonable for a couple of years

    I'd love to have Pitts because he's very very good, but not my first choice for what we do in round 1. I'd not be too upset if we did take him though as I said the other day.

    There are however TE's we could take later that are decent and others I think could be sleepers too.

    Yeah... NOW he lost his mind

    “If Jimmy Clausen is not a successful quarterback in the NFL, I’m done. That’s it. I’m out.”

    Replied McShay: “What is your time frame, Mel? When do we make that assessment?”

    Kiper: “I want eight years.”

    McShay: “It will only take three years, Mel. We can tell inside three years.”

    Kiper: “I want eight.”

    I can't pay attention to either one of those monkeys asses. ESPN is about ratings and cash.
